Distance Education is defined as teaching and planned learning utilizing a form of technology as the form of communication.  

 

Benefits of Distance Education 

  • Distance education encompasses various technological uses;
  • Various teaching techniques, and different types of learning styles and students;
  • Distance Education affords the instructor/teacher different ways to manage the curriculum and administer the programs provided to students.
  • Creates  unique learning experiences, takes on a humanistic approach to learning by observing and assessing each learner
